Our bodies are covered and filled with germs. After decades of trying kill those germs, we have come to learn that (1) it’s just not practical to try and kill all the germs, and (2) we actually need many of those germs to survive.

The microbiome is now attributed to proper digestive health, proper functioning of our immune system, brain health, and overall well-being.

Of course there are “bad” germs, but even when “good” germs get into places they should not be (through a leaky gut or inflamed gingiva), our bodies fight and fight and fight those infections leading to “chronic inflammation”.

Chronic inflammation (including periodontitis) is thought to be responsible for heart attacks, strokes, cancer, auto-immune diseases and many many serious illnesses.

Regular visits to the dentist, good hygiene, and healthy dietary choices are the main course of action. Not every factor is within our control as there might be hereditary factors, individual health histories, and personal sensitivities that can cause inflammation.

But, if a supplement could or might reduce inflammation, that might be a plus. We are bombarded with so many environmental insults and dietary deficiencies, the cause of any individual’s systemic and/or chronic inflammation really requires personalized study by medical professionals.

One particular supplement that seems to have clinical backing for dental inflammation specifically is called “TEES-10.”

It is reported that for some individuals, bleeding gums after brushing (one indicator of periodontal disease and/or inflammation) stopped bleeding after 30 days of use of TEES-10.
