Switching is much easier than changing car insurance. Most modern phones, especially Google Pixel and newer iPhones, can activate via eSIM within minutes, meaning you don’t even have to wait for a physical SIM card to arrive.

Phase 1: Preparation (Before You Sign Up)

1. Check Phone Compatibility: Use the Google Fi compatibility checker on their website. Most unlocked iPhones and Android phones work perfectly.
2. Gather Carrier Information: You need three critical items from your current carrier to transfer your number:
